Brittany Elise
in Summary

It is seen as the mark of a great musical artist when honest reflections of all of life experiences inform their artistry. If this holds true, then Brittany Elise’s country music career is all but assured. Spend a little time with Brittany herself and you will find that there are many varied dimensions to her very full life. Becoming a legitimate force in country music, however, has always been at the top of her priorities and is where her energy is diligently spent. The rest of her many adventures are just a means to that same goal.

“Hi, It’s Me”
is OUT NOW!

“Hi, It’s Me” is a very personal song for me — I wrote it with my good friend Scott Barrier and my own experiences served as the inspiration for it. When a rare injury ended my athletic aspirations in my early 20s, I turned to the other love of my life — music.  There were doubts whether I’d walk or run again, but here I am!  I wrote “Hi, It’s Me” to inspire others to ignore the noise and stay true to your dreams. For me, that’s music.

“Brittany Elise flies our flag brilliantly on both a National and International scale.”

~ Gympie Muster Festival Director, Australia

The Story So Far

An accomplished athlete in her native Australia until a rare and serious knee injury (and subsequent surgery) sidelined her, Brittany had already achieved coveted national titles for Futsal (indoor soccer) and state titles in field hockey and athletics while barely into her 20s. Doctors didn’t expect her to walk again, but her tenacity would not allow her to face life in a wheelchair. Not only did she walk again, but learning to run again was an achievement in which she takes as much pride as those sporting titles.

In the face of such athletic heartbreak, Brittany’s love of music and performing was never sidelined, and she nurtured her flourishing music career throughout her years in the sporting world and beyond. By 2007 she was performing at Tamworth’s famed Country Music Festival, and in time she became both Gympie Music Muster’s Talent Search Winner and a Toyota Star Maker Grand Finalist. She had a #2 debuting album with Something More in 2019 and by late 2022, she had reached #1 on the Australian Music Radio Regional Airplay Chart with a song called “Like Me That Way,” followed by her 2023 #1 party anthem “Get This Party Started,” and four of her singles in The Music Network’s Country Hot 50 Chart for four months.

Back in 2016 after the knee injury, Brittany had turned to coaching on a regional and state level, and she became a school teacher. She taught science, health, sport and physical education for six years, and when her tenure allowed her to take paid long service leave in 2022, she used it to fund her country music dreams in Music City — Nashville, Tennessee.

Any aspiring country artist will tell you that moving to Nashville and becoming a part of its vast creative community is the first goal, and Brittany did just that in 2023. Within a year, she had secured performance slots at two of the three places that all country hopefuls dream of — the Bluebird Cafe and CMA Music Fest. The Grand Ole Opry performance still eludes her, but only for now.

In her native Australia, Brittany has performed on the biggest of country music stages. She has played Tamworth Country Music Festival every January from 2007 to 2023, only missing 2024 because she was working hard in Nashville. She has performed at the massive Gympie Music Muster several times, as well as the Deni Ute Muster, Agnes Blues & Roots Festival, Airlie Beach Music Festival, NQ Rock’n Country Festival, Brisbane Ekka, Gladstone Harbour Festival, Rockhampton River Festival, Under The Trees Music Festival, and so many more. She has toured with and opened for Australian country greats Lee Kernaghan, Graeme Connors, Amber Lawrence, James Johnston and so many more, and was awarded Most Popular New Female Artist of the Year at the Australian Independent Country Music Awards in 2022. Even after moving to Nashville, she regularly returns to her homeland to tour.

At heart, Brittany has always been a very socially-minded person, and has made her humanitarian efforts a priority, garnering her several Australia Day Award nominations and wins for service to music and her community. In her teens, she founded an initiative called “Walk A Golden Mile,” through which she raised money for much needed charities, ranging from trips for children in wheelchairs to guide dog training. In 2020 she started an interactive show called “Raise Your Voice” which seeks to empower female singer-songwriters to have a voice, and to raise money for women-centric charities. Although sold out, the inaugural show was postponed due to COVID, but the show went on to sell out in 2022, 2023 and 2024 – featuring new regional singer-songwriters each time. In 2024 the charity supported was Gladstone Women’s Shelter.

If there was *one* word that encompasses hard work, boundless energy, pure determination, and natural talent, that word would describe Brittany Elise precisely. She just doesn’t stop. There is no doubt that she will conquer the country music world, because that’s just who Brittany Elise is.
